Assets before lifestyle.

By assets here, I mean things that help you earn or build wealth. Not simply a more expensive version of something you already own.

In Pakistan, I drove a car I had bought for 60,000 rupees. I mainly used it for workshop chores, carrying oily car parts and tyres. It was the right car for the job.

It didn't stop me making friends and connections. The relationships started with the service I gave people. We talked cars and computers. I was a kid running a workshop, but I was fixing their problems and giving them value.

The car didn't need to impress them.
